Hello everyone.

Even the internet won't help you to learn Po chom banany, but it will help you to get access to teamwork services. La, as I know how to bring to the topic. Yes, today we will look at a service like Google Apps. To be more precise, this is a whole cluster of services united by one goal-collectivization (well, there are collective farms, state farms, in general, you know) and ease of access.

We will take a closer look at the branch that has become an independent direction relatively recently: Google Apps for Education. At the same time, the service quickly captured the market, and is already tightening the screws (but we will touch on this unpleasant nuance another time).

Features a wagon and a small cart:

Communication and planning tools:

• Gmail email with a mailbox size of 25 GB per employee/student of an educational institution.

• Google Talk service with the ability to exchange text, audio and video messages, which are convenient to use for, for example, conducting remote lectures (however, this service wins only if it is combined with other functions, and in itself it is quite clumsy).

• The Calendar tool for managing class schedules, meetings, and working hours with the ability to maintain a shared calendar between employees.

Tools for teamwork:

• The Documents service, which allows you to create text documents, tables, presentations and special survey forms. (oh, I remember my friends and I wrote all sorts of stories and pseudo guides in a text application, and also did meme surveys from the category of "SES or SAS")

• Disk service for secure storage of any documents in the cloud with the possibility of shared access with a free volume of 5 GB of disk space per user. (And there is also a regular backup, which allows you not only to save files in case of a device breakdown, but also to access them from any device connected to the Internet).

• The Sites service allows you to create websites for students and teachers based on templates. (You can not only post anything, but also half of the operational assessments, reviews, tips on editing the material.)

• Google groups to create mailing lists and share documents, websites, and calendars with colleagues.

• 'Video for educational institutions' is a service that allows you to use educational video materials in the learning process.

Tools for improving work efficiency:

• Search service for letters, messages, documents.

• A single centralized administration console for Google services of an educational institution.

On top, we will add services that provide the possibility of simple coding, which allows you to practice, although only initial, but still coding skills in different languages.

There are also built-in educational courses (although most of them are paid, and there are big problems with getting bonus currency now).

For the sake of truth, it should be noted that many services work well only at a basic level, and their advanced functions work only half. Some of the services work only after wandering among a bunch of links, registration forms and a three-hour dance with a tambourine.

In addition, in many services, the limitations of the free version are very noticeable, and all the simplicity of the services disappears when you realize that it's easier to download a separate analog than to break your head with this thing.

If this text gets 1000 likes, I will make a detailed top of Google services that are fashionable, really effective and convenient to use.

Peace to all.

  1. Thank you for another wonderful post! There's actually an idiom in the English labguage for "танцы с бубнами" - its "a song and dance". Yes, a little bit boring, but it is how it is.

    1. Thank you for a moment of enlightenment. Quite an important clarification for me, because I plan to use this idiom regularly in the future.
